Finished up another video today. Trying to address more questions! I know the previous grayscale - color video was crap quality so I made another. Hopefully this one will show things a bit clearer and will be slightly easier to understand. Please forgive me for the puppy kitty noises :(. Its hard to avoid so much distraction sometimes haha.
I've got a lot of stuff I wanna cover in my next post but I've already spent a lot of time putting this together today so its gonna have to wait!

Hey everybody! Just finished up a video and am happy to say I finally got a high quality recording :D! I tried to answer a few questions from the last call for suggestions post. I recorded a few more responses but I couldn't include due to youtube time restraints D:. I'll try and get a directors account and fix that...
This video was more or less a test for quality so don't expect me to follow the piece. I'll do that next time though!

Just wanted to keep you dudes updated... Been having to do a lot of last minute work so my free time has been really limited! Trying to make sure I can bring in a good amount of money to cover what I gotta pay and whatnot. Sometimes its not so wise to only take on contract work haha. An issue arises when you got a contract on top of a contract where you've completed the said work and you feel like you've been really pushin it... But if somebody doesn't pay on time you gotta step up and take more work on top of your pressing deadlines :(. Its really only a pain because if you got contract work for a great client you want to be able to do great work and not get distracted. Oh well, thats how freelance goes I suppose! You just gotta keep on pressing through until eventually the work isn't an issue! Then all you gotta do is pick the cream of the crop from the offers and take your time :). Or at least I hope thats what happens haha.
I'll try and get somethin out as soon as my time frees up!
Man! Sometimes freelance can be a huge pain D:! I'm currently working on lots of contract stuff and as some of you may know... When a check doesn't arrive on schedule it throws your whole world to the shits! haha, well anyways, I just wanted to let anybody who was interested know that I'm open for taking on a character illustration or creature <3. I don't usually do this so hopefully I can get somethin in and have some fun breaking from strict contract work for a change :D!

First of all, thanks to Kei and Bobby for all the kind words! Tonight on Bobby Chiu's Ustream my sketch was chosen to be painted :D! I really appreciate Bobby choosing me and callin my website out from the highest mountains! It pays to be apart of things like this... and even though I'm drowning in deadlines it was worth it to take the time out and do something for the live show. The topic was ghost busters ghost and we were given 40 minutes to paint a quick concept. Not really enough time to make somethin that great but was fun all the same :D!
Hopefully the extra attention helps me along on my freelance journey! Every little bit counts for sure!
Been working through my deadlines, and fitting in personal work when i can. I tried a few test videos for my tutorials but I am still having trouble making the files a smaller size when recording. May have to download another codec(is that correct?) to be able to shrink the size apon saving.
My girlfriend chelsea's birthday party is comin up! Her birthday is the 14th but we're having a big party and a bunch of old friends will be comin for the night so it'll be a great break :). I've really been looking forward to just relaxing for a weekend instead of my constant work cycle! The most relaxing thing I do is skateboard and sometimes get a personal piece in after freelance. Both of which are still hard work though haha, so its cool to just sit back and allow myself to do nothing once in awhile...
The first book cover I worked on awhile back should be out soon! That'll be cool, not that its my best but more because it was a moment for me. I was really excited when I got that opportunity :). Finally feel like the whole freelance work is really starting to pick up. Not that I haven't had work... Just that its nice to get a nice chunk of money from a cover once in a while. Then you can just relax and get comfortable on the piece, you don't feel pressured for time because its all worth it. You can check it out ---here---, I can't post it til November though :(.
Now I gotta send out rate quotes, eat dinner and go to sleep!
Decided to do a quick piece of fan art for my girlfriend! She runs a online shop for her plushies, theyre really awesome and she's been really pushin it for the past year or so. Figured it was time for me to take on one of em!

God I hate bears. They keep comin to my place looking for food because I happened to leave the garbage locked up so I could take it out the next day. I woke up to find the lock broken, paw prints on the door, and trash all over the place leading to the woods.
Other than that though, being up here in the woods is great :). Getting a lot done!
I spent a day on my Team Character of the Week submission, figured I'd post that up on here :D! Was cool to take a step back from the freelance and just do somethin for myself. Well, something thats more than a speed paint anyways. I'm really looking forward to joinin up for the next Team C hoW as well :)!
