Dragon Magazine release

Hey everybody! Just posting up a piece that just got released from Dragon magazine #381. Don't really like this one... Lots of stuff wrong but I'll try and fix those problems in my later pieces!

 

Started working straight color after I did this and have had a much better time... So hopefully the next few will sit better with me D:.

Thanksgiving!

Hey everyone! Been having a crazy month so far... Started the Crimson Daggers and have been taking on some of my biggest jobs yet. Its a really complicated schedule to maintain but I'm finding that its forcing me to get more organized at least :D.

The Crimson Daggers have been awesome! Everybody has been delivering and those who've stayed since I started just a couple weeks ago have already shown improvement. Its amazing what an hour a day of important studies can do. Not to mention the obligation I now have to do one everyday! Can't mess around when everyone is watching you on the LiveStream... I'm learning a ton of awesome stuff. Hopefully more people will catch on and just start helping themselves by studying daily.

Now I'm at home waiting for family to show up and waiting for some thanksgiving action tomorrow. Been drillin through my work the past week,  trying to force myself to work extra hours! Got a lot of work waiting to be released soon though, so I'm pumped for that :). Don't really know what to do now that I'm home... I'm so used to working all the time that I feel like just sitting here is terrible D:. Must be productive...

And if you don't know... Daarken is having an auction fundraiser to help fight breast cancer. His girlfriend has gone through all the surgery for breast cancer and they need help! Once thats covered all the proceeds go to a breast cancer charity!

Crazy week! Since starting the Crimson Daggers I've done a lott of work D:. Trying to juggle this with freelance and now its finally coming together... Got a good rotation going on now! Goes something like this -

Life Painting from Observation

Painting from photos(landscapes, portraits, nude figures)

Master Studies

Then whatever else I can fit inbetween, mostly just technical information on illustration and whatnot. It'll be better to have the structure though. Other than that I got Zach and Andrew Domo hosting Crimson Daggers LiveStreams as well! Lots of really great work being produced!

Heres a study from my lifestream today. I do them @ 9am EST and they run about an hour, this one was an hour and 20 minutes.



Finishing up a good amount of deadlines between now and Christmas so I'll see what I can post up here... But it'll probably be lots of studies haha. At least for a little while.

Can't believe it!

The Crimson Daggers have EXPLODED! These guys are so dedicated to getting better I can hardly believe it. Surely there are those that don't update everyday and follow along with the studies... But the ones that have... They've already shown big improvement! And with the new addition of two more Crimson Dagger streams I can't begin to imagine where this will take us! I really look forward to more studies and more improvement! I hope you guys do too.

Crimson Daggers

Hey dudes! Don't got any new art to post sadly... But I got a good amount on the way that I'll be able to show. Just waiting for it to get published. Other than that I'm workin a ton this month and got some pretty tight deadlines. So aside from the LiveStreams I don't know what I'll be able to put out.

That being said, I plan on taking the LiveStream sessions to the next level! Starting within the next couple days I'll be doing hour long morning anatomy studies on LiveStream! Together we'll all take on Loomis and as we progress through the streams we'll move onto painting from life, perspective studies and all sorts of good stuff. They will most likely be at 9-9:30 am EST and run til 10-10:30 am EST. Hopefully I can get a good amount of you to really get into studying everyday so we can all move forward!

Also Also Also, if you've sent me an email regarding questions or feedback on the streams it may take me a bit longer to respond as I had no idea how many emails I'd get D:. I'm going to try and designate a pocket of time during the week to address these questions on my LiveStream.  Does that sound like a good idea? I just don't want to have to respond with the same general answers to every email if I don't have to. Really pressed for time at the moment. Just let me know if you think that'd work best. You never know who may benefit from the same things you yourself are curious about.

Hey everyone! Hope you guys enjoyed the livestream yesterday, I had a gooood time :O! And I'm super pumped that they finally let me know that my LiveStream account was worthy of the limit lift. Now I can have UNLIMIIIITEDDD people watchin! Its gonna be good!

Hello everyone! I'll be doing my LiveStream tonight at 9pm EDT! I know that 5pm EDT won the vote, but I had a lot of work today so had to make do with what time I had left... Anyways, I'll be doing a 5 pm EDT show next monday and will rotate every other monday like this. Hopefully later on I'll have a lot more free time and will be able to fit 2 Streams every week... But until then I'll try and find a good balance. I'll keep you posted for sure if things change!

Self Portrait Day!

Hey evverybody, today is Self Portrait Day on ConceptArt.org! So I took a couple hours out of the day to work on mine :). Its a great activity to take part in since most dudes don't ever draw their portrait or any real studies from life(not that mine is haha). Anyways, hopefully some of you do it!



As far as LiveStreaming is concerned...

I'm yet to find a good balance! The votes are pretty much equal between 5pm EDT and 9pm EDT... How do you guys feel about an alternating schedule? I could do 9pm this monday then 5 the next? Let me know what you think as I still don't wanna leave anybody out D:. Hopefully we can compromise here and I can start to get organized! I look forward to painting tomorrow night and hope to see you dudes there with some questions... So I don't just talk about my fabulous body all night :O.
