Been a bit, busy again :O

Hey everybody! Trying to keep up with everything I got going on and am failing... Sometimes its best not to juggle everything at once so you don't drop all the balls :(. Best to keep a strong focus. So yea, I've been doing the Crimson Daggers now for a good 3 months or so and have seen loads of improvement in the participants. The studies have totally helped my work along in so many ways and I find that finishing art is a hell of a lot easier than it used to be. Hopefully as time goes on this will grow and grow til we get a good couple hundred regulars on there posting work daily :D. Thats what I'd like to see anyways... People just getting waaay better every day and showing everybody else how its done. In the meantime though... I can wait, too much to finish all the time!

Currently I'm working on a few magazine pieces, an album cover and some personal works for an application I got going w/Bobby Chiu. Been having fun though and trying to make time to get away from art. Trying to get some time in on Mass Effect so I can unplug from my constant work and just sorta zone out. Don't usually play games ever, in fact this is the first in a couple years, but its relaxing and I think I've needed that. Just have to watch out that I don't get totally sucked in D:. Mass Effect is awesome :O!

Well, heres some art I've been doin :O. Just messin around for now so these are all works in progress :). Then some studies.

All Caught up!

Lately I've been really focused on my art and how I spend my time. Also on whats important and what gives me more energy. I find that if I do the studies in the morning, work til around lunch then go out and do whatever for a little bit I can come back to my art with a much better mindset(and a more confident mindset). I know thats kinda common sense but sometimes its really hard to wrap your mind around it when you feel like  your schedule wont allow time off... Not that I'm going out for hours, but just down the road for a hike or a swim. I used to just go all in totally focused on my goal and would do nothing but. Now that I'm really paying attention to the results I can see how my mind really approaches art and how a healthy mind creates.

Also as I do this I can see how much more I get done with a fresh energized mind as opposed to sitting all day staring at a piece. But its hard to force yourself to know when its time to quit hanging out and go all into work. Going out always puts my mind into active mode haha, constantly thinking about how I should skateboard more and all this. I'm really trying to just switch that part of myself off as soon as I sit down to avoid distraction. Mainly though my focus has been on keeping my inspiration and really trying to find out how to recreate that feeling all the time. So this routine works for creating that inspiration for now... Hopefully it'll continue on!

So heres some quick concepts I've been doing for the team CHOW over on conceptart.org.

Recovery time!

The month is coming to an end finally! I got one looming deadline for the 1-2nd left. No problem though :D! I'm finally feeling good! Can't wait to go for a long hike,  just slow down and take in the fresh air...

I'm pumped too, now I know I can handle the worst case freelancer scenario haha.

Anyways, heres some sketch I did tonight just to relax and do whatever.

And this is how I feel:

You thought we'd lost it all,

You thought we'd given up the fight!

Well now we're back to prove you wrong,

It's time to open up your eyes, Hell Yeah!

Venom is awesome :D
